CADRAN SOLAIRE
Sorède, solar by nature!
The sundial, located in Padre Himalaya Square in the center of the village, was created and completed in 2013 by the artist Marc-André de Figuères, commissioned by the Sorède Town Hall. It is a doubly symbolic sculpture: it pays homage to the origins of solar research in Sorède (the work of Padre Himalaya) and scientifically indicates "true time" (solar time).
Explanatory plaques on the site. Free tour.
