PORT VENDRES

(E 12-Sentier Littoral/guide OTI) Site de Paulilles – Plage des Elmes/Banyuls-sur-mer

The wild beauties of the Vermilion Coast!

This hike begins with the discovery of the listed site of Paulilles: the Catalan boat workshop, the museum of the former Nobel dynamite factory, and the lush gardens. Then you arrive at the cove, a sublime spot to join the coastal path that leads you through wild landscapes to Banyuls-sur-Mer.

Start behind the house at the Paulilles cove site towards Fourat beach.
At Cap d'Ullastrell, continue to follow the signs to Elmes beach in Banyuls.

Practical information

The best in the summer: Bring a swimsuit, mask and snorkel for a swim in the coves to observe the underwater fauna. You enjoy nature, you love it, take care of it... You are in taking a hiking trail along which regular household waste collection points are at your disposal. Out of respect for this exceptional space used each month by several tens of thousands of hikers and walkers, we invite you to deposit at these collection points all of your waste (glass, paper, leftover food, etc.) and those that you might unfortunately discover during your walk. Thanks to these simple but essential actions, let's preserve this site clean, as nature has graciously offered it to us.
