In front of the town hall of Montesquieu des Albères turn right and continue straight ahead and follow the direction of Villelongue dels Monts via the D11 departmental road. Follow this road for 3 km. Montesquieu des Albères, located at the foot of the Albères massif in lush greenery. You can recharge your batteries during walks and stories through its rich heritage which makes up its parish church and its XNUMXth century castle.
Arriving in Villelongue, cross the village following the same road. Then in the center take the direction of Laroque des Albères on your right. Always continue straight for 3 km. Villelongue dels Monts, “between charm and tranquility”, will offer you remarkable and unusual places. Take advantage of its lake for a well-deserved swimming break during your journey.
Arriving at a stop sign, turn right towards “Domaine des Albères”. Follow the direction of Sorède for 2 km. Laroque des Albères, a charming village, you can indulge in a stroll to discover its heritage treasures, such as the St Félix church, the castle belvedere, the XNUMXth century Notre Dame de Tanya chapel, etc.
When you arrive at Sorède, continue straight and cross the village following the same road. At the next roundabout take the direction of Argelès sur Mer and follow the direction of Argelès for 4 km. Sorède, “Solar by nature”, located in a green setting, is distinguished by the variety of heritage sites of unsuspected richness. To discover: the Solar Oven, the monumental sundial, the valley of the turtles, the whip factory...
Arrived in Argelès sur Mer, follow the direction of the city center and the train station. Go through a small tunnel then at the next roundabout turn right. Continue straight, pass in front of the station and follow straight. At the next intersection, turn right towards Collioure then at the roundabout take the third exit towards “Centre Plage”. Continue straight ahead, cross three roundabouts, at the fourth roundabout take the direction of Port-Vendres. Argelès sur Mer: Sandy coast, rocky coast, steep reliefs, parks, wooded areas. The town has a natural heritage that is among the most diverse in the region.
Always follow the departmental D81, cross three roundabouts following the direction of Port-Vendres. Arrived at the roundabout turn right towards all directions then turn right at the next towards Port-Vendres.
Continue straight ahead for 3,5 km following the direction of Collioure via the D114 departmental road. Collioure: Pearl of the Catalan coast and city of painters, Collioure will not disappoint you. Nestled between the chain of the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean waters, this city will offer you a wide range of activities.
Cross Collioure following the D114 in the direction of Port-Vendres. At the roundabout on leaving Collioure (real estate agency, garage, etc.). Take the first exit passing in front of the church, in the direction of Fort Saint-Elme.
Continue straight through a small tunnel, continue for 300m. Arrived at an intersection where you have three path options, continue straight in the direction of Fort Saint-Elme then follow this path for 3 km.
Arrived at the intersection of the departmental road, continue straight ahead following the direction of Banyuls sur Mer for 5km. Between Collioure and Cerbère, to your efforts, to pass the Col de Mollo, with an altitude of 231m. Then discover the Madeloc tower on the way, a watchtower dating from the XNUMXth century which will offer you an extraordinary panorama between sea and mountains.
Arrived at Banyuls sur Mer, take the direction of Cerbère via the D914. Banyuls sur Mer seduces with its landscapes of typical vineyards and its preserved traditional architecture. Not to be missed: The Romanesque church of the rectory, the Mediterranean garden, the aquarium, etc.
Continue on the D114 for 9 km. To discover, Cerbère, a rugged coastal relief ending its course on an azure blue sea. An exceptional village, proud of its Catalan roots. To visit: The unmissable Belvédère hotel, a former hotel from the 30s or the underwater trail of the Marine Nature Reserve.
You can, if you wish, take the road to Spain to discover the Col des Balistres located at an altitude of 165 m and then descend to Cerbère.
