[Cyclo-Sport] les Contreforts des Aspres
Technical junction of the Tech Valley to the Têt Valley via the coasts and the orchards.
From Thuir, the capital of the Aspres region, or the spa town of Le Boulou in Vallespir, this route will allow you to connect the two major valleys: the Tech (via the hills of Vivès and then Fontcouverte) to the Têt valley and its orchards of Bas-Conflent. Note the beautiful, technical descent in the last third of the route, plunging down to Saint-Michel-de-Llotes.
Leave the Echards stadium to join the avenue du Général de Gaulle on which you have to turn left.
After Place de la République, turn left then continue. Go over the Tech.
Go to the right towards Maureillas.
At this point, turn left to arrive in the village of Maureillas-las-Illas.
At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the D13, continue, you will pass the Tech a second time before arriving at Saint-Jean-Pla-de-Corts. Cross the village on the D13.
At the Saint-Sebastien roundabout, take the third exit opposite in the direction of Vivès on the D13. Cross the village.
Arrived at Llauro, turn left on D615, rue des Cerisiers.
At the intersection, leave the D615 to turn right onto rue des Acacias then turn on the first left, rue des Figuiers, then right onto rue du Platane. Continue straight on the D23.
After leaving Montauriol, go to Hostalets then go to Caixas.
Stay on the D2 to cross Saint-Michel-de-Llotes.
Turn right and at the roundabout, take the D615 to reach Corbère-les-Cabanes, cross this village and at the second roundabout, turn right towards the very beautiful village of Castelnou.
After the bridge, take the D48 to arrive at Thuir. Continue on Avenue Fauvelle.
Turn right and continue on Avenue Louis Noguères then at the roundabout, go right onto the D612.
Bear slightly left, you will pass near the Llupia microlight base. Continue to Ponteilla and then to Trouillas.
Leaving Trouillas, leave the D23 to turn left towards Passa. Then head towards Tressere and join Le Boulou, the starting point.
