Discover the life of the sculptor through 15 information panels while strolling through the alleys of old Banyuls.
Enter the world of sculptor Aristide Maillol through this discovery trail in the heart of Banyuls-sur-mer, his hometown.
Leave the Tourist Office, pass the town hall and Place Paul Reig then walk along the beach and the café terraces towards Port-Vendres. At the end of the beach, keep left onto Avenue de la République which leads to Place Bassères.
The starting point of the circuit is on the right. Start the circuit by taking rue Aristide Maillol which goes up opposite (stairs). Each information panel indicates the direction to follow to reach the next stage.
Follow the signs until you arrive at Place Bassères. Also admire all the works of Maillol exhibited in Banyuls. Do not hesitate to complete this visit with the museum dedicated to Aristide Maillol in his farm 5km from the town center.
