[Balade] Chemin du Col del Mitg

Discover Port-Vendres, from the port to the cove of Paulilles passing by the terraced vineyards.

From the Tourist Office, climb the steps to Place de la Castellane. Beautiful view of the harbor and the marina.
Cross the square in the middle and take Rue des Paquebots, and continue straight on by two sets of stairs. At the top, go down Route Stratégique to reach the SNCF train station car park. Continue along Route de la Gare to the entrance to Val de Pintes, a communal leisure area. Turn your head to the right, Fort-Elme overlooks the ridge opposite.
On the left, go through the tunnel under the railway tracks and join the D914. Cross the road and go straight.
At this point, go straight.
Continue straight (subdivision on the left).
Go straight ahead then cross the Cosprons stream, then follow Col de Pere Carmera
Pass under the SNCF bridge, follow the Plage de Paulilles sign along the car park.
Follow La “Maison du site” to visit the entire site of the former Nobel dynamite in Paulilles for free.

Bring water, a cap or hat and walking shoes. Respect nature. Do not pick fruit. Check the weather before leaving.
