Here, on the border between France and Spain, Europeans stop all year round to make purchases at advantageous prices. Alcohol, tobacco, cosmetics, local Spanish products or even clothing, a large number of shops offer you to do your shopping at prices that are often cheaper than in France.
Instant shopping at the Spanish border
At Perthus, as at La Jonquera, everything is done to simplify your shopping. The shops follow one another, offering all types of products.
The shops are open every day of the year from 9 a.m. to 19 p.m.
Be careful, however, to respect the regulations concerning the limitations on the purchase ofalcohol and tobacco.
Le Perthus, shops, but not only that…
If Le Perthus is essentially known for its shops, the fact remains that its border position with Spain has left it with various interesting historical monuments to discover.
The Exile Memorial Museum in La Jonquera
The Exile Memorial Museum (MUME) is a space of memory and history.
It is an interpretation center that commemorates the exile caused by the Spanish Civil War.
Located in the very place where most of the exiles fled, the MUME combines the functions of a museum, through permanent and temporary exhibitions, with those of historical research and educational dissemination.
