Figueres, the capital of Alt Empordà in northern Catalonia, extends into the river plain inland from the province of Girona.
This city, deeply rooted in Catalan culture, is the birthplace of Salvador Dalí. In addition to its famous son, Figueres is full of historical treasures, including its ancient medieval walls, its impressive castle, and numerous Art Nouveau and neoclassical buildings that dot its city center.

The Dalí Theater-Museum

…always surprises visitors both by the originality of its exterior and by the interest of the works it contains.
