The visit of Gorges de la Fou consists of a walk of 1739m in length and 157m in altitude, on secure bridges through limestone gorges.
These gigantic cliffs bleeding with red rise to the assault of the sky announcing the roughness of the site and the frightful depth of the abysses. The torrent flowing under the bridge is called La Fou (an old Catalan word meaning "precipice"). The explanation of this term comes from the fact that it crosses this fault of 200m of height over 2km at the bottom of a very narrow cut through the mountain of stone.
