In Sorède, the ESAT "Les Micocouliers" opens its doors to you to share a rare and ancestral know-how: working with hackberry wood. This tree, typical of southern France and once used to guide horse-drawn carriages as early as the 13th century, is today precisely crafted to create durable and technical objects: riding crops, whips, hiking poles, sports equipment…

This craft is perpetuated here with passion by people with disabilities, in a workshop where humanity, tradition and quality go hand in hand.
Guided tours offer the opportunity to discover the manufacturing stages, to interact with the artisans and to better understand the value of this living heritage.
