MAISON DU SITE DE L'ANSE DE PAULILLES

Nestled on the Côte Vermeille, in the hollow of the Béar and Oulestrell capes, between sea and vineyards, this former dynamite factory established by Alfred Nobel in 1870 was for more than a century a major center of industrial production.
Between 2006 and 2008, the site underwent a spectacular redevelopment through the joint efforts of the Conservatoire du Littoral (Coastal Conservancy), the owner, and the Department, the manager. Now a haven of peace and nature, this 32-hectare green space showcases the history and industrial heritage of the area, as well as the discovery of natural and Catalan maritime heritage through the boat restoration workshop.

The Paulilles refreshment stand is located below the Visitor Centre. Light refreshments (savory snacks, sweets, ice cream, etc.) are available to visitors.

Dogs are prohibited on the site, even if kept on a leash, and all year round.

The site is served by the €1 bus (regular line 400 Perpignan – Cerbère)

From April to October, free guided tours are offered daily on the themes of history, nature, or maritime heritage at the boatyard. Reservations can be made by calling 04 68 95 23 40.
