About Us

Indissociable from the visit of the Romanesque church, the House of Romanesque art presents the history, the architecture - pre-Romanesque and Romanesque - as well as the sculptures of this former Benedictine abbey and places them in their context in Catalonia.
Suitable for everyone, the exhibition stages, in a playful and interactive way, reproductions of sculptures, in particular those of the sculpted capitals of the old cloister.

The permanent exhibition presents the history and the pre-Romanesque and Romanesque architecture of the former Benedictine abbey of Saint-André and places them in their context in Catalonia. In the immediate vicinity of the church, in the heart of the old village, the Maison de l'art roman presents reproductions of sculptures and pieces now scattered in other sites: in particular the sculpted capitals of the old cloister. Interactive terminals provide a fun and educational approach.
Documentation, guided and audio-guided tours, texts in 6 languages, educational sheets, souvenirs.

We speak: English, Catalan, Spanish
