CATHEDRALE SAINTE EULALIE ET SAINTE JULIE
The Sainte Eulalie and Sainte Julie cathedral dominates the town of Elne. Built in the 1602th and XNUMXth centuries, major monument of Catalan Romanesque art, it was the seat of the bishopric of this part of Catalonia from the XNUMXth century until XNUMX when it was transferred to Perpignan.
The cathedral and the cloister form a single unit: the visit must be done by entering through the cloister, and it is not possible to visit only the cathedral.
