The “Escale à Port-Vendres” Maritime Festival is back!
From April 17 to 20, 2026, it will celebrate the seas, sailors and maritime traditions and will highlight the Côte Vermeille in the Mediterranean Pyrenees.

For 3 days, the city of Port-Vendres will welcome an exceptional fleet of heritage boats, accompanied by a cultural and festive program adapted to all generations.
Don't miss your reservation
Your ticket will allow you to visit large heritage sailing ships moored at Quai Forgas.
To date, the arrival of the Vera Cruz, the Phoenix and the Belem have been revealed, the participation of other tall ships in the festival will be announced soon.

The Belem – Three-masted ship (1896)
The last of the great French merchant sailing ships of the 19th century still afloat, the Belem has survived where so many other legendary vessels have disappeared. Its return brings back fond memories of its participation in the bicentenary celebrations of the town of Port-Vendres in 2023.
La Vera Cruz – Caravelle (15th century, replica)
This legendary ship carries the history of the great Portuguese explorers. This type of vessel was renowned in Vasco da Gama's time for its speed, maneuverability, and ability to sail close to the wind, meaning it could move forward even against a headwind.
The Phoenix – Schooner (1929)
Built in Denmark, the Phoenix has had several lives. First a schooner used for evangelical missions for 20 years, then a cargo ship, it is now a movie star. You've seen it in Napoleon, Outlander, The Chronicles of Narnia, and many other films.
