Thursday, November 30, 2023, the 2nd Volunteer Day was held in Sorède.
During its events, the Tourist Office regularly works with local volunteers: heritage and hiking associations, etc.
By organizing this annual day, we would like to thank all our partners for all this time and these precious skills which bring life and discovery to the territory!
In the morning, at the Sorède village hall, more than 60 participants were welcomed by our team and the Mayor, Mr. Yves Porteix. After a friendly breakfast, they divided into two groups to visit the Solar Four and the Catalan Forge (or Martinet) of Sorède, with volunteers from the PASTOR association proudly sharing their knowledge of local heritage.
Followed by numerous discussions during a superb meal prepared by the caterer Aixo Es Bé, the afternoon was dedicated to the discovery of the ESAT “Les Micocouliers” and its ancestral know-how, followed by the digital treasure hunt BALUDIK : “Sorède, a journey through time”.
The participants, sincerely delighted, expressed on numerous occasions their joy at meeting again, highlighting the quality and friendliness of the welcome, the delicious meal and the magnificent discoveries made in Sorède during the visits.

This day made me very happy! Combining tasting with heritage discovery is an excellent idea for introducing people to the remarkable sites of our territory.
