A sea kayak trip in the Mediterranean along the Côte Vermeille. The ideal way to discover, at your own pace, the fauna, flora and local heritage.
An activity not to be missed!
The meeting is given at 9am in a parking lot in Banyuls sur mer. Alex and his kayaks are already there. The small group begins to form, we will be 9 in total for this walk. After a few explanations and the distribution of vests, we participate, all together, in taking the kayaks to the beach which is a stone's throw from the car park.
Once there, Alex explains to us what we are going to do and details the different actions to be carried out in the kayak. He answers our questions and then off we go… We're all looking forward to getting back out to sea and paddling!
The beginnings are funny, the little lack of stability at the beginning is surprising then you get used to it very quickly and it quickly becomes very playful and pleasant.
Alex is very present, he advises us. Our guide quickly saw that my paddle strokes weren't very effective so to prevent me from exhausting myself for nothing, he explained a few tricks to me again. Indeed, I find my trajectories more easily and the ride is even more pleasant.
We follow the guide who takes us between the rocks. The water is calm and translucent, a real treat! We continue our pleasant walk to discover the Mediterranean coast. Alex makes us discover the fauna and flora present on this coast.
After 2 hours of strolling, a short and very pleasant stopover is planned on a beach. Swimming for those who wish and local snack offered for all by Alex: Juice, coffee and traditional pastries are welcome!
Then we end our beautiful walk, the return is quiet. To each their own pace, a moment of freedom and serenity on this beautiful Mediterranean sea… Arrival at the beach for the end of the ride.
