RANDO-VISITE "SOREDE, 2000 ANS D'HISTOIRE"

Tuesday, August 04 at 08:00 p.m.

A very beautiful guided hike to discover the landscapes, the exceptional view over the plain, trees and plants typical of our forest, but also our heritage with the ND du Château hermitage, the Visigothic castrum, casots and tallats…
Registration required (10 people max). Participation €3, free for under 18s!

Through the interpretation of the landscapes encountered, we will discover the significant aspects, anecdotal or otherwise, of the history of our village and its surroundings.
We will also take the opportunity to discuss, along the way, the trees and plants typical of our Mediterranean forest. Finally, our efforts will be rewarded, in a magnificent setting, with an exceptional view over the Roussillon plain.
We will see the sundial, the fountains, and cross the Tassio River to reach Christ Square. The ancient Stations of the Cross will lead us to the Hermitage of Our Lady of the Castle.
Along the way, we will discover an oil millstone still in its stone casing, casots and tallats, those terraces so typical of our village.
After a break at the hermitage, we will continue the ascent to the Visigothic castrum and the ruins of Ultrera Castle, from where we will see the site of Padre Himalaya's solar furnace. We will then return to the hermitage for lunch. Afterwards, we will descend leisurely back to the village.
