Provide good hydration. Wearing a helmet is compulsory for children, highly recommended for adults. Respect the rules of the road.

Start going down towards the Camping des Mimosas to take the Route de la Massane on the right. Keep the expressway on your right.
Arrive at the Auberge du Roua, head towards EuroVelo 8.
Cross the ford which crosses the Massane river and go up (St Julia fountain).

Turn left onto the Sorède road. At the roundabout on the left cross San Père for 1,4 km. Be careful when crossing the roundabout. 
Head towards the Cave du Mas Cristine, at the bridge over the SNCF tracks, continue left on Chemin de St-André.
At the crossroads (camping Le Canigou) on the left follow the path to Taxo d'Amont which will take you to the Château de Taxo d'Amont.

At the intersection turn right onto the road to Taxo d'Amont. Cross the ford, the discovered farm, come out on the crossroad of the D914. Turn left until the Palau-del-Vidre roundabout (caution zone).

Pass under the expressway bridge then turn left towards the composting area on Chemin du Mas St-Jean for 1,7 km.
At the level of an earth embankment you can see a road on the right which passes near the Mas de la Mer Blanche (olive oil).
At the crossroads continue on the road parallel to the Riberette river, leaving the white tree path. At another crossroads, stay on the road and leave the Pas de las Baques path. The landscapes crossed are then shaped by meadows and hedgerows where horses and sheep graze. 
At the end of this road turn left, then after a few meters left again to pass under the bridge which spans the Tech river. The dirt road on the left is the entrance to the Mas Larrieu nature reserve.

Further on you will see the EuroVelo 8 cycle path on the left. Take it until you enter Argelès-plage. At the roundabout, turn left towards the sea. Pass the buildings.

To the right, follow the promenade planted with umbrella pines and tamarisks. The area, shared with pedestrians, is very busy in the summer season. Pass the casino, the pedestrian walkways, the Argelès Photo Nature exhibition and continue to the port via the footbridge. 
Walk along the quays (very busy in summer).
Pass the technical zone and cross the Racou dirt car park towards the roundabout.
Take the direction of Collioure, then on the right take the protected cycle path for 300m.
Cross the Collioure road to reach the small road of Chemin du Priou and Mas Comes.
Turn left and pass under the expressway bridge which goes towards Mas Comes. On the right there is a dirt track which runs alongside the vineyards of Château Valmy. Pass the cellars and go back to the car park.
