Description

Head towards the Valmy cellars. Go down to the embankment and go around the cellars from the back. Arrive on the dirt road of the vines and follow it to the paved road of Mas Comes.
Descend towards the passage under the bridge of the D914 expressway, follow the road to Priou on your left. Then immediately to the right pass the passage of the railway, you arrive at the road to Collioure.
Cross here to get to the cycle path which will take you to the hamlet of Le Racou. Take the main road to Torre d'en Sorre.
At the end of it, climb the hill to reach a schist staircase. Go down the wide dirt road to the Porteils creeks campsite.
Take the dirt road that runs along the river “El Ravaner” which brings you to the pebble beach of the Plage de l'Ouille.
Cross the river to the left of the tiny restaurant “L’unexpected”, a path winds its way. Push your bike, because the slope is really very steep! Arrive on the flat area where the 360° panorama is absolutely exceptional over the sea and the Roussillon coastline. The square and star-shaped forts emerge from the vegetation and are surrounded by coastal scrub and the landscapes of terraced vineyards encircling the heights of Collioure. To get to the heart of Collioure, go down left.
To continue the route go down the road on the right, at the roundabout on the right, and take the small road immediately on the right. Then stay on the left-hand road which brings you back to the ford bridge near the Porteils creeks campsite.
Take the protected cycle path which runs along the road to Collioure. At the roundabout, go straight on towards the Mas Cristine road, whose hills are particularly difficult. You pass in front of large farmhouses with grandiose views of the sea.
At the level of the meadow, turn left on the DFCI-AL track n°42 which is very pleasant for its views and its atmospheres. It weaves its way between the foothills of the verdant massif and brings you back to the base of Valmy without too much difficulty.
