Eurovélo 8 (2020) Tranche Sorède / Argelès-sur-Mer

A very varied route linking the fields and vineyards of the Albera foothills to the seaside.

Route details

Respect the highway code carefully. Bring something to hydrate yourself. Be careful, the 2 and a half hour journey is only one way.
Crossing

Description

Departure from the office of Sorède, go to the right, rue de la barracks, then at the roundabout straight on the road to Palau. At the second roundabout, continue straight.
Leave this road and go to the right, further, fording. 
Go left for a few meters.
At this point, turn right, Chemin de Saint-André.
Turn right to join the track which winds through fields, 
Cross the road and go straight ahead.
At this point, turn left.
Route de Sorède, turn left.
Turn right then follow the crossing which crosses the river, “la Massana” and continue left on Chemin du Roua. After the Auberge du Roua, go under the bridge. After a climb, you will arrive in Argelès in a housing estate. 
Turn left into rue des Micocouliers then straight ahead, rue du Moulin Mars.
Turn left then a few meters further on the right, avenue du 11 Novembre 1918. Go along the river and turn left on avenue du 14 Juillet. continue opposite the roundabout, rue des Trabucayres .
At the roundabout, go right, avenue Molière. At the roundabout, after the bridge take the right, then continue towards the beach until the arrival roundabout via Avenue Général de Gaulle.
At the roundabout, turn left and before the Tourist Office, turn right, avenue des Pins.
On the vegetated promenade, go to the left. 
At this point, leave the seafront by turning left, pass between two buildings to reach Avenue de la Méditerranée. At the roundabout, go right onto the Route du Littoral as far as the Riberette bridge. Tip: a little further, venture into the Mas Larrieu Nature Reserve on the banks of the Tech.
