The Loops of the Albères

Les Boucles des Albères means alternating between nature and heritage. These routes make it possible to discover the riches of our territory, in soft mobility. They are accessible to all and mainly take secondary roads, less frequented, to ensure greater safety.

A certified Cyclosport area

The “Espace Cyclosport Pyrénées Méditerranée” is dedicated to the practice of road cycling. It offers, in the south of the Pyrénées-Orientales, a selection of 20 unmarked routes, suitable for all levels and mainly using low-traffic roads over more than 500 km.
On our territory, 4 reception points are particularly identified to inform you about this practice and to offer the necessary services to the users of this sporting activity: The Tourist Offices of Banyuls-sur-Mer, Elne and Laroque-des-Albères, as well as than the Maison Sport Nature in Argelès-sur-Mer in Valmy.

The “Bike welcome” label

Services specially dedicated to cyclo-tourists line our cycle routes, with reception points and accommodation labeled “Accueil Vélo” as well as our Tourist Offices in Elne, Laroque-des-Albères, Saint-André, Saint-Genis -des-Fontaines and Sorède.

You can find, if necessary, a first repair kit, a water point, toilets, bicycle parking and information on the territory's routes.
